Lucy Fry

Creative Director and Co-owner

Lucy is Biscuit’s co-owner and creative director, which, in her words, means she’s the boss.

She handles most project management, takes the first call with new clients, leads client meetings, and reviews almost everything before it leaves the studio. She also designs logos, brands, print and social media, and builds Biscuit’s Squarespace and Shopify sites. She’s good at the big picture and the schedule, but she needs enough hands-on design to stay in the flow. Working directly with clients matters to her, because she values the relationships and because it makes the design better.

She was born in Gainesville, Florida, while her father was in architecture school on the GI Bill, and grew up in Miami. She followed him into architecture at UF, with a short stint in Montpelier, Vermont, along the way. Before Biscuit, she was a nanny, preschool teacher, art supply store clerk, summer camp counselor, and interior designer. She’s now lived in Atlanta longer than anywhere else.

While she designs, she plays instrumental music only, chosen to suit the client. Lyrics distract her. At home it’s singer-songwriters, old Motown and R&B. COVID finally gave her time to grow the green thumb she always wanted, and she’s moved from houseplants to pruning the shrubs and small trees out back. She cooks and brings a green salad to every dinner party. She loves her family more than anything on the planet. And birds.
